i considered that, but i wondered how believable a large petpet would be? (oh my god, why am i going for believability, these are talking animals………) I mean, I guess it’s been known to happen? (giant mutant walein, turmaculus, etc)

Kaleek was attacked by a Jetsam large wild Nuranna when he was a little kid, and he lost vision in his eye + his arm has been paralyzed ever since. And his eyelid didn’t quite heal right either, so he has a constant Stink Eye going on.

Kaleek’s been really, really petrified of Nurannas ever since. Generally, he just tries to keep his distance and not say anything if it’s someone’s pet (as long as it stays far, far away), but his initial reaction to seeing one too close to him or seeing one looking at him is to freeze and go right into a panic attack.
